About the DLR LDTF

The DĂșn Laoghaire Rathdown Local Drugs Task Force (DLR LDTF) was set up in 1997 to enable the statutory and voluntary services of the local area to come together with the community to tackle the problems caused by drugs misuse.

In common with the other Local Drugs Task Forces (LDTFs), DLR LDTF works to ensure that the National Drugs Strategy becomes reality in DĂșn Laoghaire Rathdown. We advocate for communities and for service users on important issues pertaining to drug misuse. We also look at services to people in need under the headings (or “pillars”) of the Strategy. We have subcommittees who then work to develop these services.

DĂșn Laoghaire Rathdown Local Drugs Task Force operates under five pillars: Supply Reduction, Prevention, Treatment, Rehabilitation and Research.
