Area profile
The DLR LDTF Area Profile provides an overview of the nature and extent of drug use in the Dún Laoghaire Rathdown area. The report firstly provides a detailed overview of the socio-demographic profile of the area by reference to the geographical size, demographical trends and socio-economic characteristics.
Research including the Central Statistics Office Garda recorded crime Statistics (2004-2008), the NACD Drug Prevalence Survey (2006/2007) and the HRB National Drug Treatment Reporting System quarterly reports (2009) are used to indicate the nature and extent of drug use in the area. Data sets have different divisions however their information indicates the extent and prevalence of drug use in the DLR LDTF area. Further evidence including interviews with the Garda Inspector and Senior Probation Worker is also used to provide further localised insight into the extent of drug use.
The Area Profile also provides an outline of services in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown area.
