HRB - Evidence reviews

Evidence reviews

Two new evidence reviews relevant to drug and alcohol published by the HRB this week; the reviews are written for a practitioner audience.  The first review “The role of social and human capital in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction” brings together evidence from a range of sources to examine and assess the impact of social support on treatment completion, success and positive outcomes. The report can be downloaded.

The second report “The efficacy and effectiveness of drug and alcohol abuse prevention programmes delivered outside of school settings”summarises evidence-based information on the impact of out-of-school prevention programmes on drug and alcohol use among young people. This report can also be downloaded.
