Regulations circumvented

A new report by the Institute for Social Marketing at the University of Stirling, highlights that regulations for protecting children’s exposure to alcohol advertising during UEFA Euro 2016 football tournament, were circumvented. For example, alibi marketing was used whereby known indirect references were made to alcohol, for example the slogan “probably the best in the world” was used without mentioning either the product or brand name.
